Established as a sole-proprietorship in 1998, Nelna commenced its business with two employees under the leadership of Managing Director, Mr. W.G.E.G. Nanayakkara and at present it has outstretched its operations into diversified businesses in the fields of chicken meat products, ready-to-eat processed food products, maize cultivation, fruit cultivation, production of compost fertilizer, quality poultry feed and disease-free day-old chicks.
